You don’t have to prove anything to anybody.

When I was watching a movie, there was a line of dialogue that really impressed me:

“You don’t have to prove anything to anybody.”

These words were spoken by a teacher to her student, who had been working hard to achieve his goal—and it really hit me.

When we set goals, whatever it is, we often feel like we need to show results or make visible progress.

But that kind of mindset can sometimes discourage us from even trying.

In that sense, these words are really powerful.

You don’t have to care about what others think of your efforts.

You don’t always need to show your progress or achievements.

Because the small things you do every day will eventually lead to meaningful change within you—even if there’s nothing to show on the outside.

So I want to tell myself:

Every single effort you pile up will eventually become a treasure in your life.
Your effort belongs to you alone, and no one can take it away.
